The Bargello needs our help to preserve its collections of exceptional cultural importance for the future. We have envisaged a range of fundraising campaigns from the most urgent and basic of requirements through to longer-term strategies that aim to enhance the functioning and reputation of one of the world’s most essential museums.

As an entirely non-for-profit organisation, coupled with the new independent status of the Museo Nazionale del Bargello, 100% of all money raised will go directly to the museum.

The Friends of the Bargello Research Fellowship

Goal: To encourage the ongoing scholarship of European sculpture and the decorative arts, with a direct relationship to a specific area within the museum’s holdings, we will grant financial aid to fund the study for a year in Florence. Grant proposals will be accepted through the Friends of the Bargello and selected by the Advisory Board in conjunction with the museum’s Director and curatorial staff.
